Gil is certified by the state of New Jersey and Israel as a licensed social worker. She earned her Masters specializing with children and youth from Tel Aviv University in Israel. During her Master program, she conducted research concerning postpartum depression that was later published in the USA in the Journal of Psychosomatic Obstetrics & Gynecology.
She has completed three years of psychotherapy school from Alfred Adler’s institute in Israel and specializes in Psychotherapy for grownups, youth and children. She completed her bachelor’s from The University of Haifa in Israel where she majored in Psychology and communications. Gil also volunteers in a crisis and emotional support line providing crisis intervention, emotional support, and safety assessment, to individuals struggling with suicidal ideation and behavior.
Gil is experienced as a psychotherapist providing individualized therapy to adults coping with various stressors, including life transitions, family dynamics, relationship difficulties, depression and more. She also works with children and youth dealing with a variety of extreme life situations, such as: violence, neglect, abuse, trauma, and imprisonment.
Gil is a warm empathetic psychotherapist who strives to provide a supportive, non-judgmental environment in which her client can better understand, challenge, and change their life story.
